Review of the new IceRiver KS0 Ultra Kaspa miner with 400 GH/s
It’s been over a month since my last post, which is ultimately due to the fact that I’ve been very busy at work.
However, I would like to introduce the new IceRiver KS0 Ultra today – somewhat belatedly. Like its predecessors KS0 and KS0 Pro, this miner is designed for mining Kaspa.
The KS0 Ultra now offers an incredible 400 GH/s with a power consumption of just 100 watts. This doubles the efficiency of its predecessor, the KS0 Pro, so to speak.
The miner was again provided to me by millionminer.com.
To improve the cooling a little, I bought 200mm case fans which also start with only 5V and suitable USB adapter cables. The fans run very slowly and are whisper quiet. I was also able to turn the internal fans down to 20%. This means that the miner and the two miners shown here (KS0 Pro and KS0 Ultra) are practically inaudible:
The KS0 Ultra from millionminer was again delivered in very secure packaging with the accompanying power supply unit. In a previous post, I had replaced the power supply unit with a stronger but older power supply unit. In a direct comparison, however, I have to admit: The new included power supply is significantly cooler than the replacement I used on the KS0 Pro.
All in all, the Kaspa Miner has now been in operation for a good month and works wonderfully. As with the previous KS0 Pro, the temperature remains within a good range with the 2 fans. However, two large fans are more appropriate for the KS0 Ultra than for the KS0 Pro. Especially if the miner is to be operated very quietly.
If you want to buy a KS0 Ultra, the quickest way is to visit the millionminer webshop.
Finally, here are some pictures of the KS0 Pro:
