Format USB sticks & SD cards or flash an ISO? Rufus

Some USB sticks and SD cards simply won’t format properly, even after a “clean” with Diskpart. Rufus provides a quick remedy here and has reformatted almost every stick so far, even partially defective ones.

But Rufus can do much more. It can be used to flash ISO images onto USB sticks. The tool is particularly helpful when flashing Windows images and offers to modify numerous settings directly.

It can even be used to create a Windows-to-Go-Live USB stick without any problems.
