Multiple Node.js apps/processes on the same domain with Plesk

Unfortunately, with Plesk it is not possible to start several Node.js instances on the same domain at the same time. This can be particularly annoying if, for example, the frontend and backend have been set up separately. It becomes even more complicated if the backend Node.js application is to run in a subdirectory of the main domain and live notifications are also to be sent via socket.io.

Fortunately, there is a solution for this in Plesk. Additional subdomains can be created in Plesk, on which separate instances can then be executed.

How these subdomains can then be used on the main domain I will not publish here today, because the effort for a solution was unfortunately very high. So if you need help to run several Node.js processes simultaneously under Plesk on one domain, please contact me at my favorable hourly rates.
