When setting up a company in the Czech Republic, it can be very practical to apply for a personal electronic data box in advance. Very few people are aware of the possibility of applying for a databox in the Czech Republic without having a residence or residence permit there. I myself have successfully applied for and finally received the data box.

The application via CzechPoint should actually also work – but unfortunately the employee’s system will not accept the entry without residence. Therefore, the application is associated with a certain amount of additional effort. In detail, it is necessary to submit a suitable application in paper form and to enclose all the necessary documents. The CzechPoint is used to confirm the applicant’s signature and thus their identity.
