Order a German certificate of good conduct with residence abroad (Czech Republic)
To open another company in the Czech Republic, I needed a certificate of good conduct with my German entries. There are several ways to obtain such a certificate of good conduct without residing in Germany. The first option is to order the document from the Federal Office of Justice using this form (external link).
But please note: A multilingual form is also required for use in other European countries, i.e. the form must state “multilingual form” and “additional fees for the multilingual form in the amount of EUR 13 plus fees for the certificate of good conduct = EUR 26 were paid on …”. You will then receive the certificate of good conduct in all EU languages.
For the Czech Republic and many other EU countries, it is also possible to order a certificate of good conduct directly in your home country (in this case the Czech Republic) and have the entries from your home country (in this case Germany) entered as well. The advantage is obvious: the certificate of good conduct is issued by the state that wishes to receive the certificate of good conduct AND the certificate of good conduct is already in the appropriate national language (i.e. a multilingual form is no longer necessary).
In the Czech Republic, such an application is possible via any CzechPoint. I personally ordered a Czech certificate of good conduct with the German entries from the consulate of the Czech Republic in Berlin. The certificate of good conduct was ready for collection the very next day.
